Is Kitesurfing With A Shark A Good Idea?
According to the International Shark Attack File (ISAF), there were 15 unprovoked shark attacks, and two deaths involving shark attacks in 2016.
Adam Carmer with his fellows noticed a bull shark swimming in shallow waters, just meters away from the shoreline.
Beachgoers and kitesurfers instantly got out of the water, including kitesurfer Pierre Olivier. But he nevertheless returned to the sea and rode his board and kite near the predator.
"You could see it wasn't going to attack. I was near it in knee deep water. It was a little disoriented. Then it disappeared, and 30 kite surfers jumped back in the water and surfed until sunset," said Cartmer.
